Looking for Takeuchi TL150 tracks? Our catalog lists the Takeuchi TL150 with one track size and two tread patterns. This guide gives the Takeuchi TL150 track size, how to confirm the fit, the signs that tracks are worn and the TL150 sprockets, idlers and bottom rollers worth checking while the tracks are off.
The short answer
The Takeuchi TL150 track is listed as 450 x 100 x 50: 450 mm (17.7 in) wide, with a 100 mm pitch and 50 links.
It comes with a C-lug or Z-lug tread. Tracks are sold per track.
At a track change, check the 2 drive sprockets, the idlers and the 8 bottom rollers. All three are listed on our TL150 parts page.

Read the size as width x pitch x links. A 450 x 100 x 50 track is 450 mm wide, has 100 mm between link centers and has 50 links. There is no letter after the link count on this size, so compare the three numbers only.
Pitch is the quickest way to spot a wrong size. Many other loader tracks in our catalog use an 86 mm pitch. The TL150 track uses 100 mm, so a track quoted with an 86 mm pitch is not the TL150 size.

How to measure a Takeuchi TL150 track
If the size is still readable on the side of your old track, use it. If it has worn away, take three measurements:
1
Width
Measure across the track from edge to edge. A Takeuchi TL150 track should measure 450 mm (17.7 in).
2
Pitch
Measure from the center of one link to the center of the next. Measure over several links and divide, which gives a truer figure than a single gap. The TL150 track has a 100 mm pitch.
3
Links
Count the drive lugs around the inside of the track. Mark your starting lug with chalk so you do not count one twice. The TL150 track has 50.
If your numbers match the table, you have the right track. Our guide to measuring rubber tracks shows each step with diagrams.
Four checks before you order Takeuchi TL150 tracks
1
Confirm the model
Check the model plate on the machine. Model codes can differ by a single character, and each model has its own listing. If the plate shows another model, order for that model, or contact us with the machine details and serial number and we will check.
2
Match the size
Compare the size on the old track, or your measurements, with the table above. If the width is not 450 mm, the pitch is not 100 mm or the link count is not 50, stop and check before you order.
3
Choose the tread
Both C-lug and Z-lug are listed in the 450 mm width. Fit two tracks of the same tread so both sides grip and wear evenly. If the old tracks did the job well, the simplest option is to order the same tread again.
4
Look underneath first
Before the new tracks go on, inspect the sprockets, idlers and rollers. New tracks on a worn undercarriage wear out sooner.
Our advice
A size that is checked, not guessed, is the quickest way back to work. If anything does not match, talk to the team before you order, so you maximize machine uptime and avoid a return.
Signs your Takeuchi TL150 tracks are worn
We recommend these checks on any tracked machine.
Cuts, missing lugs or cords showing
Deep cuts, missing lugs and steel cords showing through the rubber all mean the track is near the end of its life. A track in that state can fail without much warning, so plan the change before it does.
Tension will not hold
If the track keeps going slack after you adjust it, do not assume the track is the cause. A track adjuster with failed piston seals cannot hold tension, and worn sprockets can add to the problem. Here is how to check rubber track tension. The correct tension figure for the TL150 is in your machine’s operator’s manual.
The track slips or jumps on the sprocket
When sprocket teeth wear sharp, they stop holding the track cleanly. The track can slip or jump through the sprocket, and the shock load travels into the final drive. If you see or hear this happen, stop and inspect the sprockets before you carry on.
The tracks wear out early
If a set of tracks wears out well before the last set did, look at the parts underneath before you fit new ones. Material packing between sprocket teeth, rollers and the track also speeds up wear, so keep the undercarriage clean. Our guide to spotting a worn sprocket shows what to look for, and these five tips to extend rubber track life cover other common causes.
Operating habits that add wear
Spinning the tracks, unnecessary reversing, high travel speed when it is not needed and always turning in the same direction all add wear. They wear the tracks and the sprockets that drive them.
Takeuchi TL150 sprockets, idlers and rollers to check at a track change
With the tracks off, the whole undercarriage is in plain view. That makes a track change the best time to inspect it. Here is what our catalog lists for the TL150:

Drive sprockets
The sprocket bolts to the final drive and its teeth engage the track to drive the machine. Our catalog lists 2 TL150 drive sprockets per machine. Sprocket wear is hard to judge by eye, so compare yours with an unused sprocket of the same type. Wear builds faster in reverse and at higher travel speeds.
Idlers
Idlers guide the track around the ends of the track frame and work with the track adjuster to hold tension. Our catalog lists the TL150 idler with a 62.5 mm side arm. Check for worn running surfaces, damaged flanges and oil leaks. With an idler off, it is also the easiest time to check or replace the track adjuster.
Bottom rollers
Bottom rollers run along the underside of the track frame and carry the machine’s weight on the track. Our catalog lists 8 TL150 bottom rollers per machine. Look for flat spots, worn flanges, oil leaks and rollers that no longer turn, and take time to check every one, including the rollers that are hard to see. We advise changing bottom rollers as a set, because a single new roller sits proud of the worn ones and wears faster. Our guide to bottom rollers and carrier rollers explains the difference.
Our advice
If the sprockets, idlers or rollers show wear, replace them with the tracks. It is one job and one round of downtime, and the new tracks start on a sound undercarriage.
Our catalog lists the Takeuchi TL150 track as 450 x 100 x 50. It is 450 mm (17.7 in) wide, has a 100 mm pitch and has 50 links.
How wide are Takeuchi TL150 tracks?+
Our catalog lists the Takeuchi TL150 track in one width, 450 mm (17.7 in). If the track on your machine measures a different width, talk to our team before you order.
What does 450 x 100 x 50 mean?+
It is the track size, written width x pitch x number of links. The track is 450 mm wide, has a 100 mm pitch and has 50 links.
Which tread patterns are listed for the Takeuchi TL150?+
The TL150 track is listed with a C-lug or a Z-lug tread, both in the 450 mm width. Tell us about the ground the machine works on and we will help you choose.
Are Takeuchi TL150 rubber tracks sold individually?+
Yes. We sell Takeuchi TL150 rubber tracks individually, and the price shown is for one track.
How many bottom rollers and sprockets does a Takeuchi TL150 have?+
Our catalog lists 8 bottom rollers and 2 drive sprockets per machine for the Takeuchi TL150.
How tight should Takeuchi TL150 tracks be?+
Use the tension figure in your machine’s operator’s manual. A track that is too loose can come off, and a track that is too tight wears faster, along with the parts it runs on.
How do I know when my Takeuchi TL150 tracks need replacing?+
Common signs are deep cuts, missing lugs or steel cords showing through the rubber, a track that will not hold tension, a track that slips or jumps on the sprocket, and tracks that wear out much faster than the last set. Check the sprockets, idlers, rollers and track adjuster at the same time, because worn parts underneath shorten the life of new tracks.
